Why buy a New pc from us?

A comparison

• Store pc's - Isn't your shop bought pc the same as a custom built one from a supplier such as ourselves?The short answer is no. We believe that cheap computers are a false economy. We could buy cheap assembled computers from the far east the same as the stores do and sell them at a very cheap price. However what happens when they go wrong?We would send them back to the service center(an average of 6 weeks wait). They would also usually restore your computer back to it's factory setting, so all your email, documents and programs would all be lost. What happens if you corrupt your operating system and need to restore your computer. At worst most of these systems come with a restore partition on the hard drive. The best ones come with a restore disc. Often the store will 'sell' you the restore disc at a cost of £60 upwards. Often the price you see is not the price you pay, a certain online supplier of own name computers has recently been fined for 'automatically adding necessary extras' thus pushing up the price considerably. Often the advertised computers are not actually available to buy, although they do have a slightly dearer model in stock. Basic support is often offered via premium rate phone lines.
• Advantages - Cost
• Disadvantages - Usually low quality components, Long service times, Usually no operating system disc, staff usually have limited technical knowledge, proprietary high cost replacement components, cost of servicing

• Custom built pc's - Because we build all our computers to business grade then we won't use cheap components. For example we only use seagate hard drives in all our new pc's (or western digital raptor for fast gaming pc's). The seagate hard drives we supply come with a 5 year guarantee, seagate also produce a range of 'oem' hard drives which come with a 12 month guarantee. These are the ones you find in most shop bought pc's.
• Advantages - Quality components, reliability, original operating system disc, reasonable service costs, technical expertise, Computers built to your exacting requirements,Built with of the shelf standard components so usually easy to source and replace, In most cases if you experience any issues we can usually offer a quick fix over the phone.
• Disadvantages - Cost (this is due to the higher cost of quality components)

When we were looking for premises for 1 Stop Tech shop we had a number of considerations. We wanted to be located in a strategic area at the centre of the motorway network that allowed PJR Micro Ltd to service our business and domestic customers easily and cost effectively. We therefore chose Chorley as this location. As we have continued expanding we quickly realised that our Chorley shop was to small for our purposes. We therefore started looking for new larger premises. There was nothing suitable within the immediate area so we expanded our search further afield, and located a building in Whelley, Wigan which was ideally suited for our purposes which we moved to in 2009. As our business is now going more and more data based we need a premises with fast backbone connection and as the fastest speeds we can obtain at Wigan is 3mb we have amalgamated all our business under one roof at our business service center at Coppull Where we have a 15mb and a 11mb backbone connection. Our Business customers range in areas from Liverpool to Wilmslow and Kendal to York and we have domestic customers all over Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Our new computer shop and premises have extensive offroad parking so short distance to carry sickly pc's.
