Store pc's - Isn't your shop bought pc the same as a custom built one from a supplier such as ourselves?The short answer is no. We believe that cheap computers are a false economy. We could buy cheap assembled computers from the far east the same as the stores do and sell them at a very cheap price. However what happens when they go wrong?We would send them back to the service center(an average of 6 weeks wait). They would also usually restore your computer back to it's factory setting, so all your email, documents and programs would all be lost. What happens if you corrupt your operating system and need to restore your computer. At worst most of these systems come with a restore partition on the hard drive. The best ones come with a restore disc. Often the store will 'sell' you the restore disc at a cost of £60 upwards. Often the price you see is not the price you pay, a certain online supplier of own name computers has recently been fined for 'automatically adding necessary extras' thus pushing up the price considerably. Often the advertised computers are not actually available to buy, although they do have a slightly dearer model in stock. Basic support is often offered via premium rate phone lines. |

| Custom built pc's - Because we build all our computers to business grade then we won't use cheap components. For example we only use seagate hard drives in all our new pc's (or western digital raptor for fast gaming pc's). The seagate hard drives we supply come with a 5 year guarantee, seagate also produce a range of 'oem' hard drives which come with a 12 month guarantee. These are the ones you find in most shop bought pc's. |
